Sneezing Spring Away!

You usually won't catch me outside for more than five minutes at a time in the spring. You know those people that say, "Oh yeah, I get terrible allergies," and then they go outside for give or take 5 hours with nothing but a single tissue? I'm not one of those people. In fact, if you force me outside for more than 5 minutes, you might not recognize me once back inside. It gets so bad my husband usually knocks me out with a more than sufficient dose of Benadryl.

Nonetheless, I braved a few minutes outdoors and met pollens full scale attack head on for these shots. But seriously, I just wanted to make sure I didn't lose the chance to capture these beautiful flowers while they were in full bloom. They're gorgeous and I'm happy I left my bubble. Here's to the yellow stuff all over my car :)

'Tis the season of birthdays!

Spring, for me, happens to be packed with birthdays. And with birthdays, you have parties, and with parties, you get pictures! Here are just a few fun pictures of some birthday fun :)

A muddy good time

This past weekend my sister came home with her friend, Emily, and they kindly allowed me to shoot them! I love taking pictures outside, especially in fields or the woods, so we had a lot of fun. We jumped over enormous puddles, sat in dirt, and walked through mud galore to get these pictures. Time to get those rainboots. So a big thank you to my sister and Emily :)

Fun at the Farm

It's been a couple of weeks since my last post so I thought I'd share a couple photos I've taken recently. Something I'm learning right now, photography is expensive. I knew the camera was expensive, but almost everything else you need is expensive also. How kind :) So, while I try and get my hands on an external hard drive and another lens, I'll try and post what I can without slowing my computer down to turtle speed. The photos below were taken while assisting the lovely Sam Nichols (ssamnichols.com) at a local farm shoot. Friends make great models so snapping a few shots of these pretty ladies was tons of fun! I can't wait to make another trip to a farm, great place for some great pictures.

It's a start.

I am so excited to start this blog because it gives me a chance to officially share my love of photography with everyone! Plus, I get to be more modern by being a blogger, right? I probably won't write a ton but I'll surely post pictures as often as I can so be on the lookout. Photographs speak so well for themselves :) I hope you can enjoy them as much as I do.     -M.
